Antiarrhythmic drugs: adverse effects
Antiarrhythmic drugs: adverse effects
A major problem with many antiarrhythmic drugs is that they may provoke arrhythmias. This is more likely to occur in patients with significantly impaired left ventricular function. For this reason and because of the relatively benign nature of many arrhythmias, there is increasing reluctance to use these drugs except for potentially lethal arrhythmias. This is particularly the case with class I drugs.
