Bivalirudin

Bivalirudin is a reversible direct thrombin inhibitor, and is used for percutaneous coronary intervention (in combination with aspirin). It is renally excreted, and dose adjustment is required in those with severe renal impairment, and for patients on dialysis. Monitor activated clotting time. There is an increased risk of bleeding, including major bleeding.
