Dopamine
Dopamine is a naturally produced agent that, in the brain, functions as a neurotransmitter. Dopamine release and dopamine levels within the brain aff ect motor control, memory, attention span, the ability to problem solve, motivation, pleasure, and creative thought. Alterations in dopamine production and secretion play a role in disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, attention deficit disorder, and schizophrenia. It is also believed to play a role in addiction to drugs.
